As humorous as that may sound, this is serious business.
MIG/ETA (Manufacturer, Importer and Gunsmith Ethical Trade Alliance) is a commission of concerned industry professionals addressing the issue of ethical standards and business practices within the firearm industry.
Operating expenses for support and maintenance of communication lines and promotion of the MIG/ETA is fully subsidized and privately funded and therefore is immune from outside pressure to relax its ethical guidelines to remain operational.
MIG/ETA’s founding membership is comprised of companies and individuals with a proven track record of the highest ethical standards and customer satisfaction.
The membership of MIG/ETA is based on merit. There is no way to “buy in” or influence MIG/ETA’s standard of ethical, unbiased observation.
It is time for some truth.
MIG/ETA’s primary functions are twofold.
1. A watchdog committee tasked with identifying and exposing false or deceptive advertising, underhanded smear campaigns against reputable companies. The dissemination of false information calculated to promote a particular company or hidden agenda for profit to the detriment of the general gun enthusiast public is also addressed by this group.
2. Establishment of an accurate and reliable data base of unbiased firearms related information, where interested parties can be assured of getting the straight info.
Fair play, is fair play. The more injustice and criminal behavior you allow, the more you will get.
We hope that MIG/ETA’s efforts will make your firearm collecting, shooting sports and all of the other benefits of responsible firearm ownership safer and more satisfying.
